Coco’s Build
The Chain Free Chattanooga volunteer corps had another successful fence build last week for a sweet dog named Coco. Coco is a two-year-old white pittie who has spent most of her life outdoors and tethered. She is also deaf, so providing an enclosure for her was even more important for her safety.
Coco has been with her owners since she was a puppy and has a special bond with the father-daughter pair. Giving her a fence that allows them to keep her safely at their home was critical for them to be able to continue to care for her.
With winter approaching, we needed to ensure that Coco had an insulated dog house for shelter. Thankfully, our team recently procured a large custom-built dog house that could be repurposed and relocated to Coco’s residence. She will have plenty of shelter in the winter and shade in the summer!
“As the build director and volunteer coordinator for this particular build, there were so many variables/unknowns and this crew made ME feel so comfortable and confident. I know time is money and I wanted them to have a great experience and to hopefully join us at future builds. What a pleasure this whole process has been.”
Our team of ten completed the build in just under two hours, stopping periodically for Coco kisses throughout their time. Everyone was thrilled to see the final result—Coco running freely in her newly fenced-in large yard!
Special Thanks to Our Supporters
